The waiting is almost over! The Chicago Marathon is this Sunday and I am so excited to be competing. I trained differently than last year, increased my mileage over last year, and learned quite a bit from last year's race. I really feel a 4:00 marathon is within my reach. Only one problem....
It is supposed to be mid-30's at the start of the race!! That is cold!!! I am struggling with how to dress warm enough for such a long race without overheating. Probably going to wear a light sweatshirt over my WorldVision jersey and ditch it after mile 5, but we will have to play it by ear. Did I also mention it is supposed to rain too??
On a lighter note, I have my wife, my sister-in-law, and her husband all coming up to support me. I will be wearing bib 6585. Wish me luck!
